Producer/Screenwriter - Elle Matthews
Elle Matthews is a screenwriter and producer for Green Shoot Films, an eco-friendly South Africa production company that produces documentaries and feature films. In 2006, Elle wrote and produced the award-winning international feature film, ‘Oil on Water’, which attained international distribution in both the USA and globally. The film was nominated for a number of international awards at film festivals globally, and won ‘Best Picture’ at the Everglades International Film Festival.
Elle is the screenwriter of a number of feature film scripts, as well as the writer and a producer on 'Township Yogi' documentary. She is currently in development on 'The Memory of Chiffon' and 'The Green Lady'.
In 2014 Elle won the Simon Sabela Producer’s Award for production in KwaZulu Natal.
Co-Producer - Patrick Holzen
PPatrick Holzen has over 20 years executive and professional experience in the UK TV and Film industry, ranging from production, post production and distribution. He started his media experience with Carlton Communications PLC (now ITV PLC) and his projects include White Noise (Directed by Geoffery Sax and starring Michael Keaton for Gold Circle Films), Snow Cake (Directed by Marc Evans and starring Sigouney Weaver and Alan Rickman for Revolution Films); A Mighty Heart (Directed by Michael Winterbottom and starring Angelina Jolie for Revolution Films) and The Gathering Storm for HBO (Directed by Richard Loncraine and starring Vanessa Redgrave and Albert Finney).
He is Managing Director of Repremiere 3D – a fund management company focused on investing and exploiting the conversion of high value 2D titles into stereoscopic 3D - including academy award winning masterpiece The Last Emperor. Shortly to be followed by Oliver Parker’s Dorian Gray with Colin Firth and Ben Barnes. He is also founder and Managing Director of Mutz Media a production company in the process of developing Agaat, Fritz’s Triangle and New York 1920s’ musical The Amazing Kapakowski Sisters .
Patrick is a member of BAFTA. He has served on the Board of Directors of UK Screen – a trade body which represents and promotes over 140 service companies working in film, commercials and television in the UK.
Director - Peter Matthews
Peter Matthews is a South African film director and artist. His first feature film, Oil on Water, was completed and released theatrically in South Africa in 2007. It went on to be awarded Best Feature Film at the Everglades International Film Festival with official nominations and selections at nine other International Festivals, and is in global distribution.
Peter is the Director and a Producer on the Township Yogi documentary, and in development as the Director of The Green Lady as well as on the feature film, The Memory of Chiffon. He is also the Director of an animated children’s television series - Animal Adventures in Africa - currently in development.
